Cavagnolo

An ancient town 40 km from Turin located on the northern Monferrato hills and crossed for a short stretch by the river Po, Cavagnolo has always had a major role in the Monferrato history. The name probably comes from “cabanne” or “cabannolum”, meaning “little house”, hence the town symbol: an eagle, symbolizing power, above a wooden hut.
